Before our Lord ascended into heaven, He commissioned the Twelve, saying, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them…[and] teaching them” (Matthew 28:19-20). For this reason, parents brought their children to be baptized and promised to teach them the Christian faith. Confirmation classes are what their church offers to assist them in helping their children continue their learning. For Confirmands, this is an opportunity to more deeply examine the Christian faith through studying Holy Scripture, exploring our Lutheran heritage, and participating in the faith life of the Good Shepherd church family.
